An accordion book I made for my senior thesis on the The Legend of Meng Jiangnu. The legend is about true love, and standing up to tyrants. In the beginning of the story there is order, but as the story goes on, and Meng’s life falls apart, so does the Great Wall of China. I used wabi-sabi for the wall crumbling. I dropped paper cut outs of bricks onto the scanner and scanned them in and digitalized them.
